You should have the following files in your escape.zip:
DEHACKED.EXE
ESCAPE.WAD
ESCAPE.BAT
ESCAPE.DEH
SOUNDS.WAD
DMADDS.EXE

SCENARIO.TXT
To install Escape, make a directory called "ESCAPE" under the "DOOM"
directory. This is important because it keeps your "DOOM" directory
from becoming cluttered and my batch files are directory sensitive!
Next unzip Escape.Zip in the new "ESCAPE" directory. Next copy the
following batch files into the doom directory and run them in the same
order (from the "DOOM" directory.)
newgun.bat <---Make new graphics for gun
slop.bat <---Include dehacked file
escape.bat <---Run the DOOM with ESCAPE
