INTRODUCTION TO COMPUTER COMPLETERS

The principals of Computer Completers have a great deal of experience in
the printing and desktop publishing industries. In order to make it
easier to generate professional looking bulletins, flyers, newsletters,
etc., we have developed a series of products and are adding to them all
the time. This diskette contains 8 borders, 10 headlines, 10 pieces of
electronic clip art, 5 accents, 7 symbols, and 8 bonus files with four
major credit card symbols in pcx and tif formats.

If you use Pagemaker, Ventura, or similar desktop publishing software
you know that being able to use borders, headlines, accents, symbols, and
electronic clip art can be a big advantage. You can use one of our pieces over
and over again!

Through the shareware concept we are letting people know about our products.
We plan to offer our packages through traditional retail outlets
in the future. We would appreciate hearing suggestions and comments from

-=> BORDERS APPLICATIONS <=-

This diskette contains 8 samples of our Borders. Our Borders and Border
Variations come in standard portrait orientation. They are also available
in landscape orientation. Please see the ordering information for details.
These Borders can be used for making flyers, bulletins, newsletters, etc.
They can be sized smaller to accentuate blocks of information in your
publication. Whether you are producing commericial documents or just
inter-office memos, graphics such as borders or our clip art will make
your pages look more interesting and hence more readable.

BORDERS FORMATS
The Borders on this diskette are in .WMF and .CGM formats. We
chose these formats because they can be used in Pagemaker, Ventura,
WordPerfect 5.+ and others. Also, these files take up very little room
and because they use vector graphics, they can be proportionally sized
without losing resolution.

FILE NAMING SYSTEM
Our borders use a file naming system that makes it easy to identify each
border. An example of a border file is bv1-01p.xxx - where:
b - stands for border
v1 - stands for volume 1
01 - stands for the first border (in the volume)
p - stands for portrait orientation
xxx - extension (.WMF or .CGM)

PLACING BORDERS

For illustration purposes, we will explain placing the borders in Pagemaker.
WordPerfect 5.+ users can refer to the wpuser.doc file on this diskette.
Hopefully you are familiar enough with whatever desktop software you are
using to know how to import graphics! The default size of the borders in
Pagemaker is 7 1/2" wide by 10" high (a 1/2" margin on the page). By using
a 1/2" margin and placing the icon at the upper left intersection and
clicking the mouse, the border you are placing will automatically expand
out to the margins. If you want a smaller or larger border place the icon
where you wish the border to start and then drag the mouse while holding
down the left button, letting up when your border is the size you want it.
See your Pagemaker manual for more details on this procedure. Remember that
because these borders are in WMF/CGM format you can proportionately resize them
without losing any resolution. However, if you stretch the height or width
of the border disproportionately, they will be distorted. If you need Borders
in landscape orientation, please see the ordering information.

-=> HEADLINES APPLICATIONS <=-

This diskette contains 10 samples of our Headlines, chosen from the 160+
on the four volumes we currently have. There are 40+ Headlines in each volume.
These Headlines can be used for making flyers, bulletins, newsletters, etc.
They can be sized smaller or larger to accentuate blocks of information in
your publication. Whether you are producing commercial documents or just
inter-office memos, graphics such as our Headlines, Borders, or clip art will
make your pages look more interesting and hence more readable.

FORMATS

The Headlines on this diskette are in Computer Graphics Metafile (.cgm) format.
We chose this format because it can be used in Pagemaker, Ventura, and
a number of other applications, such as Word Perfect 5.+. Also, cgm files take
up very little room and because they use vector graphics, they can be
proportionally sized without losing resolution.

Our Headlines use a file naming system that makes it easy to identify each
Headline. An example of a Headline file is hv1-01.cgm - where:
h - stands for headline

PLACING HEADLINES

using to know how to import graphics! The default size of the Headlines
will vary. If you want a smaller or larger Headline without distorting it,
remember to hold down the shift key while dragging with the mouse to resize.
See your Pagemaker manual for more details on this procedure. Remember that
because these borders are in .cgm format you can proportionately resize them
without losing any resolution. However if you stretch the height or width
of the Headline disproportionately, it will be distorted. You can also
use the cropping tool to take out a word from a Headline and make a different
Headline; for example crop out News from Special News and you have a Headline
that just says Special.


-=> CLIP ART APPLICATIONS <=-

This diskette contains 10 samples of our clip art. We are adding more high
quality Clip Art all the time. There are 36 pieces of art in each volume
(disk). The samples on this disk are in tif & pcx format. When ordering our
Clip Art, please specify whether you prefer .tif or .pcx format. We have
a large number of professional artists we work with to provide Clip Art that
doesn't look like "clip art". All of our Clip Art (except for the credit card
logos) is ORIGINAL art done by our professional artists exclusively for
Computer Completers.

Symbols are like dingbats, except that instead of being in a font, we provide
them to you as separate art objects so that you can easily size or stretch them
to suit your application needs. We currently have four volumes of symbols,
with 56 symbols on each volume. They are available in all four formats (.TIF,
.PCX, .CGM & .WMF).


-=> ACCENTS <=-

Accents offer a nice touch to a page when you want to break up information in
the middle of a page or just use one as a header when a complete border is not
appropriate. We currently have four volumes of accents, with 24 accents per
volume. The accents are great items for people who are using WordPerfect,
Microsoft Word, and other word processors that can place graphics. They are
available in both .CGM & .WMF formats.
