H E L P ! !

Well, I guess I can understand how
you feel, this is probably your first
or second time on this board and it
seems very big and confusing. Sit back
and relax, it isn't very likely that
you are going to crash this board
without knowing what you are doing.
I hope you enjoy your stay at Turbo

A review of the commands:

[B]ulletins : This allows you to
re-read the bulletins that you saw at
the beginning of the board. They are
updates on current events in Turbo Plus
and the bulletin board world.

[C]hat: Chat mode allows you to talk to
the sysop online. If you still don't
understand anything try chat after this
help feature. If the sysop isn't
around you obviously won't be able to
talk and the machine will display a
message to that effect if he isn't

[E]-mail: This allows you to send
electronic mail to anyone or everyone
on the board and to read mail from
others in either a public or private

E-Mail Commands:
C-Check for mail...this checks to see
if there is any
mail waiting for
D-Delete mail ...this allows you to
delete any mail to
or from you. All
you need to know
is the message #.
E-Enter mail ...this allows you to
enter mail to any
one or all users.
Just enter who it
goes to (return for
all) then the
subject and finally
whether it is a
private message.
F-Forward read ...this allows you to
read several
messages in a row
without interuption
at all.
N-New mail read ...Allows you to read
the new mail.
Q-Quit ...Returns you to the
main menu.
R-Read ...Allows you to read
mail in any order
you want. It will
also ask if you
want to reply,
quit, etc. after
each message.
S-Stats you your
stats on the
current message

[F]iles : this allows you into the file

File Commands:
D-Download file...Allows you to copy a
file from a file
section on this
board and send it to
L-List Files ...Lists the files in
any section that you
want it to. Hit ?
here for a list of
Q-Quit ...Returns you to the
main menu.
U-Upload file ...Allows you to send a
file to this board.

[G]oodbye: This allows you to leave
this board. It also allows you to
write private feedback to the sysop.

[H]elp: That allows you to view this

[I]nfo on this system: Tells you what
this system is run on.

[L]og of callers: Tells you who has
been calling lately and when they

[M]eetings: Lists the many computer
related meetings that you may attend in
the city of Regina.

[O]ther BBS list: Lists the other
BBS's in Regina.

[S]tats : Lists your status on this

[T]he Columns area : Allows you to
read literature writen by users of this
board and other boards. Just enter the
number of the menu you want to get to
'till you reach the desired column.

[U]serlist : Lists the users of this

[X]: Expert Toggle: Allows you to go
into expert mode and not have to see
the menu's everytime it gives you a
prompt or it switchs you back to
novice mode, where you get a menu
every time you are prompted.

[Y]: System Setup: Allows you to
configure this system to work well with
your home computer. All the prompts in
here are easily understood, yet, not
all the features in this area have been
activated by the sysops of this board.

In closing, I would just like to
mention that at most prompts you can
press ? and get help...Otherwise try
chat mode, we would be glad to assist

  1. Very nice! Thank you for this wonderful archive. I wonder why I found it only now. Long live the BBS file archives!

  2. This is so awesome! 😀 I’d be cool if you could download an entire archive of this at once, though.

  3. But one thing that puzzles me is the “mtswslnkmcjklsdlsbdmMICROSOFT” string. There is an article about it here. It is definitely worth a read:
