the TomCat mail door.
^BNOTE:^B If this BBS is running a version of Wildcat earlier than version
3.5, you will need to import the WC30-32 prompt set. Robocomm does not
support Wildcat versions before 3.0.
Before attempting to use Robocomm to access this BBS, you should go online
manually and use Wildcat's main menu "Y" command to access the user settings
screen and verify the following options:
[ 3] Phone number : ^BSame as in Robocomm^B
[ 4] Birth Date : ^BSame as in Robocomm^B
[ 5] Screen length : ^B0 [non-stop]^B
[ 8] Hot keys : ^BNO^B
[12] File display mode : ^BDouble line^B
[13] Help level : ^BExpert^B
[14] Default protocol : ^BAnything except "Select" or "All"^B
Make sure that Robocomm's Directory-BBS screen for this BBS defines transfer
protocols that match setting #14 above. To use Robocomm's default internal
Zmodem, make sure option #14 is set to "Z" and that all Robocomm's defined
transfer protocols say ZMODEM.
Also, while visiting the settings screen on the BBS, make a note of the
format of the dates displayed on the right hand side of the screen. It's
very important that the date format assigned to this BBS on Robocomm's
Directory-BBS screen exactly matches the date format in use on the BBS.
If this BBS does not have a conference "0", then you will need to update the
various conference settings on Robocomm's Directory-BBS screen for this BBS.
To do this, simply make sure that all the displayed conference settings
contain a number that you have access to.
Finally, you should visit the Tomcat door and make sure that the protocol,
archiving utility and desired conferences are properly configured. Make a
note of the menu and command that you used to access the mail door and make
sure Robocomm's settings for the BBS match those as well. While in the mail
door, check to see what the downloaded mail packet name will be. It is
ESSENTIAL that the BBS ID you configured for this BBS matches the mail
packet name (less extension) exactly.

Very nice! Thank you for this wonderful archive. I wonder why I found it only now. Long live the BBS file archives!
This is so awesome! 😀 I’d be cool if you could download an entire archive of this at once, though.
But one thing that puzzles me is the “mtswslnkmcjklsdlsbdmMICROSOFT” string. There is an article about it here. It is definitely worth a read: http://www.os2museum.com/wp/mtswslnk/
