IMPORTANT

Please Read this file carefully or the scripts will not work.

*****************************************************************

These Robocomm Scripts will allow you to log on to Programmers
Corner BBS and substantially duplicate Robocomm's abilities on
PCBoard and Wildcat BBS's. These were written for personal use and
as such they could use some tidying up. They should work for anyone
as long as the instructions in this file is followed. If you
experience any problems you can leave me (Robert Morrell) a message
on Programmers Corner (I am a Lifetime subscriber).

These files should all be copied to the Robocomm directory.

The scripts and associated files are:-

PROG-ON.RS ........ Log on script
PROG-NEW.RS ........ New Files scan script (needs Qedit)
PROG-QWK.RS ........ Download Qwk packet script
PROG-REP.RS ........ Upload Reply packet script
PROG-DOW.RS ........ Download files script
PROG-OFF.RS ........ Log off script
PROGCRNR.QM ........ Qedit macro (text) to format new files
list for Robocomm to import
PROGCRNR.MAC ........ Qedit macro (binary) to format new files
list for Robocomm to import

*****************************************************************

For the scripts to work properly Quick keys (no return required)
must be enabled in Setup on Programmers Corner. EXpert mode should
also be enabled.

Under Robocomm's BBS setup screen, define a new BBS with BBS ID
PROGCRNR. Define this BBS similar to this screen

System name: The Programmer's Corner
System type: Login Script Only
Phone number 1: 621-3436
Phone number 2: 596-7692
Login Script 3: PROG-ON.RS
Login ID name: Robert Morrell
Password: *****
Baud rate: 38400
ProDoor door: 0 Conference:
Mail door: XXXX Conference:
File conference:
ANSI graphics: YES
PC Pursuit city:
DL mail protocol: ZMODEM
UL mail protocol: ZMODEM
DL file protocol: ZMODEM
UL file protocol: ZMODEM
Language to use: 0
Date Format: MM/DD/YY

*********************************************************************
IMPORTANT

The Mail Door option above, where XXXX is present, rquires that you
place the last 4 digits of your telephone number as used on
Programmers Corner.

*********************************************************************

In the Phone number 1: option you may want to use a file listing all
Robocomm numbers local to you.
The protocol defined on Programmers Corner BBS should also be Zmodem.

I suggest you use E (execute script) to define permanent agenda items
for PROGCRNR like this screen below.

Call The Programmer's Corner
þ Execute Script "PROG-NEW.RS" (SMTWTFS)
þ Execute Script "PROG-QWK.RS" (SMTWTFS)
þ Execute Script "PROG-REP.RS" (SMTWTFS)
þ Execute Script "PROG-OFF.RS" (SMTWTFS)

********************************************************************

IMPORTANT

PROG-OFF.RS must be the last agenda item defined at all times or the
BBS will not be logged off properly.

*********************************************************************

When you need to download files define a temp agenda item with
PROG-DOW.RS.

You should fill in all Parameters (one or more file names) you are
prompted for.

Please note that for the new files scan script to work properly you
will require Qedit 3.0 (available here as QEDIT3.ZIP). Q.EXE must
either be in your Robocomm directory or in the Path. Qedit 2.15 will
also work but Qmac 2.15 must be used to compile Progcrnr.QM.

Robocomm and Qedit are shareware programs owned by Parsons
Consulting and Semware respectively. Their continued use requires
registration.

These scripts work for me but I can make no guarantee that they will
for you. If they don't fell free to modify them in any way you wish or
let me know and I will try to help if possible (within the limits of
time constraints I have).

  1. Very nice! Thank you for this wonderful archive. I wonder why I found it only now. Long live the BBS file archives!

  2. This is so awesome! 😀 I’d be cool if you could download an entire archive of this at once, though.

  3. But one thing that puzzles me is the “mtswslnkmcjklsdlsbdmMICROSOFT” string. There is an article about it here. It is definitely worth a read: http://www.os2museum.com/wp/mtswslnk/
