Ok, here is what everyone wants to know..... HOW IN THE HELL
TO I GET Z-MODEM TO WORK WITH PROCOMM+ TD ver 1.1? The
answer is simple..... Just follow these easy steps:

USE DSZBOOT2.EXE IF YOU USE COM2

1. Put DSZBOOT.EXE in a directory on your hard drive that is
in your PATH..... If you don't know about PATH read a
DOS book, it will explain it. OR you can just put
DSZBOOT.exe in the directory with Procomm+ TD ver 1.1

2. Put DSZ.COM in the same place as DSZBOOT.EXE

3. Go into the setup area of PCPlus and go into the external
protocol set up area. Change A and B to DSZBOOT

4. To UL or DL with Z-modem simply choose DSZBOOT from
Procomm's transfer menu. When it asks for parameters
just hit a , you will then be asked if you want to
Receive or Transmit..... if you choose receive everything
from that point on is automatic, if you choose Transmit
you will be prompted for the file to transmit, put in the
path and file name... the rest will be automatic....

5. It is that easy..... enjoy!


If you want, you can make things look nicer by doing the following... rename
DSZBOOT.EXE ZMODEM.EXE, and change DSZBOOT in number 3 above to ZMODEM....
that way Procomm+ ver 1.1 will say Zmodem in the Transfer menu.
