To use this batch file effeceintly, place it in one of the directories on
your DOS search path. If you are not sure which directory to put it in,
type PATH at a DOS prompt to show which directories are included in your
path. This batch file must be in a directory on the search path before
your CompuServe directory (usually C:\CSERVE).
The following procedures explain how to create the neccessary INI files
so you can access CompuServe at different baud rates.
1. At a DOS prompt type CIM or CIM 24 and press enter. Enter the needed
information for 2400 Baud access.
2. After you have finished making your changes, exit CIM. (Press ALT X)
3. Once you are back at the DOS prompt type CIM 96 and press enter. You
will need to enter the settings for 9600 baud access.
Note: you must use an access phone number that allows for 9600 baud.
4. After you have finished making your changes, exit CIM. (Press ALT X)
You are now ready to access CompuServe at a baud rate of your choice. You
can run CIM at 2400 baud by typing CIM or CIM 24. Type CIM 96 to access at
9600 baud. Any changes you make to the INI files from now on will be saved
in to its respective file.
