Thank you for considering yakIcons 2.0! The documentation files on this
disk will aid you in navigating the many areas of yakIcons. The docfiles are
as follows:

readme.txt : this file
updates.doc : partial list of updates to the library
yicons.doc : documentation file (icon and map functions)
yicons2.doc : documentation file (support classes... mouse, etc)
programs.doc : description of support programs
faq.doc : some frequently asked questions.
formats.doc : file and data formats for yakIcons.
history.doc : history and mission of yakIcons (personal)
yakWare.doc : addresses, how to get on mailing list, etc.

Please do read the history and yakWare files; I would like YOU to be part of
our growing user base. Getting on our mailing list insures that you'll be
notified of future improvements on yakIcons, other yakWare products (what
those could be I have NO idea), hints for using yakIcons (because I KNOW
the docs aren't very good; it's 1 am and I'm getting tired of writing them),
answers to frequently-asked-questions, and of course product announcements
from YOU, our yakWare users. Besides, it's free!

Good luck and good gaming,

Vic Putz, yer friendly Yak.

  1. Very nice! Thank you for this wonderful archive. I wonder why I found it only now. Long live the BBS file archives!

  2. This is so awesome! 😀 I’d be cool if you could download an entire archive of this at once, though.

  3. But one thing that puzzles me is the “mtswslnkmcjklsdlsbdmMICROSOFT” string. There is an article about it here. It is definitely worth a read: http://www.os2museum.com/wp/mtswslnk/
