WGM-MAKE v.1.2 PCBoard(tm) Directory File Maker

Introduction
ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ
WGM-Make is a utility for PCBoard sysops that will help in the creation
of PCBoard file directories. This utility that will read a DOS
directory and create a PCBoard file directory text file. This utility
will come in real handy to add files to the BBS without having to do a
local upload.


Features
ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ
WGM-Make will search each compressed file for FILE_ID.DIZ or DESC.SDI
description files. If it detects one of these files, it will add the
description to the directory file. If a description file is not found,
an appropriate description is used. The compression utilities that are
supported in this version are ARC (PKPAK), ARJ, LZH, PAK, ZIP and ZOO.
WGM-Make will also add or remove comments in ZIP and ARJ compressed
files.


Running WGM-Make
ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ
To run WGM-Make, simply enter WGM-MAKE (with out any parameters) at your
DOS prompt to display the help screen. The following parameters are
required for WGM-Make to execute properly.

The syntax for WGM-Make is:

WGM-MAKE /D /F [/I]


/D This parameter is used to tell WGM-Make which
directory to create the PCBoard directory file for.
This has to be a valid DOS directory.

/F This parameter is used to tell WGM-Make the name of
the PCBoard directory file to create. This has to be
a valid DOS filename and can include a drive and/or
pathname. IF A FILE EXISTS WITH THE NAME SPECIFIED, IT
WILL BE DELETED!

/C This parameter is used to tell WGM-Make to add or
delete comments in ARJ or ZIP compressed files.
Specifying /cNONE will remove comments and /c
where is a valid dos filename, will add the
comment file to the ARJ or ZIP compressed files.
WGM-Make will only accept a filename or NONE, not
both.

/I This parameter is optional. It tells WGM-Make not to
look into the compressed files for the description
files.

Example #1

WGM-MAKE /Dc:\newfiles /Fc:\pcb\gen\dirup

This example will read the C:\NEWFILES directory and add all the
files found to a text file called C:\PCB\GEN\DIRUP. This will
also look in all the compressed files and add the description
file if found.

WGM-MAKE /Dc:\newfiles /Fc:\pcb\gen\dirup /I

This example will read the C:\NEWFILES directory and add all the
files found to a text file called C:\PCB\GEN\DIRUP. This
example will tell WGM-Make not to look for the description
files.

WGM-MAKE /Dc:\newfiles /Fc:\pcb\gen\dirup /I /Cnone

This example will read the C:\NEWFILES directory and add all the
files found to a text file called C:\PCB\GEN\DIRUP. This
example will tell WGM-Make not to look for the description
files. This will also tell WGM-Make to remove any comment files
in ARJ or ZIP compressed files.

This example will read the C:\NEWFILES directory and add all the
files found to a text file called C:\PCB\GEN\DIRUP. This
example will tell WGM-Make not to look for the description
files. This will also tell WGM-Make to add the text file
COMMENT.TXT as a comment to ARJ or ZIP compressed files.

Bug Fix: Program was using "/" as a date
separator instead of the "-" that
PCBoard uses.
Added: The ability to add or delete ARJ/ZIP
comments from the compressed file.
