Mod was originally written by Streetdoc 1@2503. I give him 90% credit.
All I did was move the sub name to the same line as the read prompt & added net
or local to it. Plus I put the time on the line above it.
/* Load MSGBASE1.C */
Look for void scan & add s3[81] to it.
void scan(int msgnum, int optype, int *nextsub)
{
char s[81],s1[81],s2[81],s3[81],*b,*ss1; /* ADD the s3[81] */
a little further down
= case 0: /* Read Prompt */
=
= if (subboards[usub[cursub].subnum].type)
=
= strcpy(s1,"Net");
= else
= strcpy(s1,"Local");
sprintf(s,"2[6%s2]6-2[4%s2] 3Read6:2(312-3%u2,6^3%u2)6?2:",s1,
subboards[usub[cursub].subnum].name,nummsgs,msgnum);
= nl();
npr("2[1Time Left2=C%s2]\r\n",ctim(nsl()));
= if (express) {
I put the = to show stock lines and did not put the + on modified ones as
I am hoping you can see the changes to be made. I changed the colors to stock
ones for the mod net, I have a 16 color mod so my colors would not have shown
for you.

Very nice! Thank you for this wonderful archive. I wonder why I found it only now. Long live the BBS file archives!
This is so awesome! 😀 I’d be cool if you could download an entire archive of this at once, though.
But one thing that puzzles me is the “mtswslnkmcjklsdlsbdmMICROSOFT” string. There is an article about it here. It is definitely worth a read: http://www.os2museum.com/wp/mtswslnk/
