Sub Attack History......

Version 1.10 This was the initial release and beta test version.

1.1c Changed some ship parameters for registered users on
missions 6-10. Added variable damage to Red October
/stealth sub hits. Land Missiles and SCUDS firing
range increased.

Added code to allow "old version of" DOOR.SYS

1.2a Fixed a nasty bug on locked HST 19200 modems using
wildcat drop files.

Added to the CREDITS screen

Added PAGE SYSOP function to Sub Attack.
SA /PAGE command line switch to enable

1.2B Added schedule file for better control of paging times

1.2c Added SPEED CONTROL for local/remote users <,> should
help those with fast machines and eliminate those ships
from "zipping" across the screen!

1.2d Nothing major here...... Just changed points scoring for
killing another opponent. Slightly changed CALLINFO.BBS
read rtn to check for abnormal fields. Added extra points
for killing RED OCTOBER. Reset Damage every call.


VERSION 2.0 *****

2.0beta Here it is... Version 2.0 now has Weapon selection options.
Supports Dorinfox.def, Gap door.sys, PCB14.5 Door.sys,
rel: 3-9-91 Wildcat and OPUS 1.1x files. The new DOORSYS converter
is now included in the subattack files set. All new
command line switches. Weapons awarded on sinking enemy
subs. Testing the new /38400 locked baud switch.
Little faster screen updates and more to come......

2.2gamma Wowzer! killed the fire mite! I think....
Due to popular demand replace the /local switch
for local play.

I have returned the /19200 /38400 switches to
the Sub Attack command Line! Also improved the
DOOR.SYS compatability problems.

4/4/91 2.3gamma Rewrote some code for making door.sys more compatible
with more drop file converters. Only reads the first
30 lines of door.sys files now... Better control over
User name formats.


5/27/91 2.4a Added IRQ/Base Address control for special com3-com4
installations. Added the control file called COMM_IRQ.ctl
Compressed code but no major changes to game play.
Augmented docs.

7/11/91 2.5b Adjusted Ship/Level counters. Adjusted Sub Speeds.
Added Sysop Configurable Logon Time Limits.
New CONFIG / Install program

9/4/91 2.6a Added support for multi configuration files
Example: SA SUB00.CNF
SA SUB01.CNF Will read different
SA SUB02.CNF configuration files.


Version 3.0 ****


12/24/91 3.0á Major rewrite of code.
Now Plays ANSI MUSIC!
Now directly supports DORINFOx.DEF drop file too!
Converted to GENERIC configuration file NODE01.CNF.
Removed /NOPAGE from command line. Option change via INSTALL
Multi Configuration File Capability.
New INSTALL program!
New Local Play Routine.
New Title Screen (Thanks to Micheal Butrovich)
Fixed Promotion Bug
