SUB ATTACK - Install Information

Thank you for evaluating Sub Attack a submarine attack
game. This install program will write the required con-
figuration file NODExx.CNF. This file contains specific
information about your system. The Default configuration
filename is: NODE01.CNF.

--- Multi Line BBS Installation ---

If you have a multi line BBS you may want to make individual
configuration files. This is necessary if your nodes comm-
ports are dissimilar. In otherwords lets suppose you have a
high speed modem on node 1 and is locked at 38400 baud, but
Node 2 is unlocked at 2400 baud, you would use this install
program to write NODExx.CNF (where xx= Node Number). Each
configuration file shall contain the correct locked baudrate
information for each node.

It is your responsibility to tell the SUB ATTACK which config
file to use. For example your node 2 batch file would call:

SA NODE02.CNF

If no config file is specified the default NODE01.CNF is used.
For more details on command line statments please print out
and read the documentation.

  1. Very nice! Thank you for this wonderful archive. I wonder why I found it only now. Long live the BBS file archives!

  2. This is so awesome! 😀 I’d be cool if you could download an entire archive of this at once, though.

  3. But one thing that puzzles me is the “mtswslnkmcjklsdlsbdmMICROSOFT” string. There is an article about it here. It is definitely worth a read: http://www.os2museum.com/wp/mtswslnk/
