!|@0M1BThe last two steps are to put text labels on each button and then place\
"Mouse Fields" on top
!|@0M1Mof every button. The text label are easy to do - simply position the t\
ext cursor inside the
!|@0M1Xbutton you wish to label, click, and type in the text. Using the "Mous\
e Borders" feature of RIPdraw
!|@0M28makes this much easier to get precise locations.
!|@BK2QOnce the labels are completed, you
!|@BK31would want to overlay one mouse field
!|@BK3Con top of each button. The details of
!|@BK3Nthis is left as an exercise to the user
!|@BK3Yso that you can get familiar with the|@BK49feature.
!|@BK4VIn reality, you would not really draw
!|@BK56your menu in this "order". For|@BK5Hefficiency reasons, you could do a
!|@BK5Sfew things to make the file smaller and
!|@BK63draw faster. In addition, you would
!|@BK6Enot perform the last two steps by
!|@BK6Pdrawing ALL the labels, then adding
!|@BK70ALL of the mouse fields. What would
!|@BK7Bbe better would be to drop the label
!|@BK7Mfor one button, then add its mouse
!|@BK7Xfield; then move on to the next button.
!|@0089The reason for this is because if you waited until the very end to do A\
LL of your mouse fields, the user will
!|@008Ksee a delay in their menu where nothing is being drawn and might inadve\
rtantly click on a button before it is
!|@008Vactually "hot" (ie, have a mouse field on it).|#|#|#

  1. Very nice! Thank you for this wonderful archive. I wonder why I found it only now. Long live the BBS file archives!

  2. This is so awesome! 😀 I’d be cool if you could download an entire archive of this at once, though.

  3. But one thing that puzzles me is the “mtswslnkmcjklsdlsbdmMICROSOFT” string. There is an article about it here. It is definitely worth a read: http://www.os2museum.com/wp/mtswslnk/
