With the new .rip screens out on the new Wildcat ver3.90
I, as I'm sure a lot of you are, have found it somewhat confusing and
wanted to get my bbs looking acceptable as fast as I could. We got
together and wrote a little program that will easy take care of your
menus, bulletins, opening screens, and any other screen on your bbs.
Ripeasy takes your file (any type, .ANS, .BBS, .ASC, .BBS, etc) and
makes it RIPScript compatible. It will put a computer screen type
border around the screen, set the mouse boundaries, put a square grey box
underneath, and finally display and scroll your ansi/ascii file in the
middle of the box. It lets you use your old screens and RIP callers
will get the same effect through the whole BBS.
It is simple to use...Just type " RIPEASY filename.ext "
where "filename.ext" is the file you wish to convert.. It is that
simple. Like I said, this is a simple program and can not yet
determine if you entered a real filename or not. So if you enter a
filename that isn't there you will still get the output of just the
header with some other information. Don't forget, RIPEASY automatically
puts the .RIP ending on the end of your filename. If you try to convert
a file ending in .RIP, if will be overwritten (gone for good!) and
replaced. So make sure they are .BBS, .ANS or whatever.
Ripeasy is released as a shareware program. This means, if
you use and want to continue using it, you must register the program.
About $10 or if you think a different price would be better call the
bbs below and we might be able to cut a deal. When you register, you
will have the "Please Register Me" prompt taken out of the files. And
receive any future updates registered for free.
That about explains everything in a nutshell. If you have
any questions, comments, advice, or anything for us, please call the
bbs and let us know. Hope you enjoy the program and "Happy RIPping"
