give it away altered or as part of another system.

WHAT DOES LangSys DO?

LangSys is a language file compiler/decompiler for A.B.S. software.
It allows you to completely customize the text for any A.B.S.
program that supports it, including converting it to other
languages.

CONFIGURATION

LangSys should run on any system running MS-DOS 3.3 or higher with
at least 25K free RAM. It uses direct screen writes. LangSys is
multi-tasker aware, and will write to the virtual buffer when
running under a supported multi-tasker to avoid 'bleed through'.

HOW TO RUN LangSys

LANGSYS [C/D] [filename]

'C' to compile a .LNG file to a .SYS file
'D' to decompile a .SYS file to a .LNG file

[filename] is the name of the .LNG or .SYS file without the
extension.

LangSys reports all I/O errors. It also will pop up a brief help
screen if the command line is invalid.

The resulting .LNG file, when 'D'ecompiling a .SYS file, resembles
a decompiled STRINGS.SYS from Searchlight BBS. It may be edited
with any text editor, and 'C'ompiled to a .SYS file.

REGISTRATION

LangSys is distributed as FreeWare. Please read the DISCLAIMER &
FREEWARE AGREEMENT earlier in the documentation for more
information.

Programmers interested in using LangSys should contact A.B.S.
The specs will be given out at no charge, as well as TP source
to use a language file in any program. Signing a non-disclosure
agreement is the only requirement.
