What is JSQUOTE?
...................
JSQUOTE is a program designed to compliment The Silly Little
Mail Reader, or SLMR for short. When you reply to an email message
offline with SLMR, Slimer (which SLMR is affectionately called
sometimes!) creates a temporary file called REPLY.MSG by default,
although it can be renamed to whatever you choose. This file contains
the text of the message you are replying to, and that's where JSQUOTE
jumps in. Using the data obtained from the Message Header SLMR
optionally inserts in the reply file, JSQUOTE will 'personalize' your
reply by inserting various information about the message you are
replying to. As well, at the top of the quoted message, you will
find the current date and time, so when a person down the line reads
your message, they know EXACTLY when it was written! I realize that
the message date is stuck up in the corner of the SLMR screen, but who
reads up there anyways?
..............
THE WARRANTY!
..............
JSQUOTE Has no warranty whatsoever, either expressed or implied. I do
not take any responsibility for what happens to the data on your disk.
Although I cannot foresee and problems with JSQUOTE, anything is
possible, and it is up to you, the user, to take action to protect
yourself.
...............................
Who would want to use JSQUOTE?
...............................
JSQUOTE is basically designed for people who would like to spice
up their message replies. I like the output REPLY.MSG a lot more than I
like the original, and I hope you will to. Here's an example of what
JSQUOTE will do to your reply file!

I'll let you be the judge!

How Do I use JSQUOTE?
......................
Well, I doubt that anything could be simpler! Here's what you
have to do, in point form:
- Configure SLMR so that it includes the Message Header in quoted Reply
File.
- Configure SLMR to run a batch file in place of your editor (the batch
file will be explained below)
That's all there is to it, at least as far as SLMR is concerned, now
here's the heart of JSQUOTE's operation, the EDITOR.BAT file:
@ECHO OFF
C:
CD SLMR
JSQUOTE C:\MR$WORK\REPLY.MSG
CD\UTIL
SLME C:\MR$WORK\REPLY.MSG
Ok, here's what happens when SLMR calls the bat file. First, JSQUOTE is
executed with the command line telling it where to find your reply.msg
file. JSQUOTE jumps into that directory, processes the file, and then
the batch file turns control over to your editor. Since JSQUOTE has
already modified the REPLY.MSG file, your editor will contain the
processed file!
............................
How Much does JSQUOTE cost?
............................
JSQUOTE is almost free. It is being distributed under the
Shareware concept, meaning that you are granted the privilege to use it
for 30 days. After the 30 days has expired, either don't use it
anymore, or register!
Registration costs $5. Once I receive your payment, you can
pick up your registered copy via the bbs described below. Support the
Shareware concept!

ONE MORE THING!
.................
In this documentation, I made several references to the Silly Little
Mail Reader. The SLMR is an offline mail reading utility designed to
save you online time! Instead of reading messages online, and wasting
your money on long distance charges, make a quick call and download your
mail!
