8-24-90 * Maintenance release: Fixed bug that caused replies
(1.31) not to go out.

8-18-90 * Release of 1.30, with all the features/bug fixes listed
(1.30) below.

8-09-90 * Only using record locking calls if Share is loaded.

7-24-90 * Added the option to turn/keep the Echo flag on after both
(1.25á) import and export. IP will no longer rely exclusively on
the echo flag to know if a message has been processed.
However, the echo flag is still required to be on for a
message to be exported. (/o)

7-18-90 * Improved handling of origin lines that are already present
(1.24á) in messages that are exported. Replacing þ with * instead
of space, since it's so often used in origin lines.

6-29-90 * Added option of keeping messages in the *.msg format
(1.23á) on import. (/l)

* Full network and multi-tasking support. Record locking
in accordance with PCBoard specs on import. 10 retries
over 10 seconds if message base is locked by another
task. Export access not affected by locks issued by
other tasks.

* Improved formatting with option to allow "wide" wrapping
(80 columns). (/w)

* Automatic stripping of high-end ASCII on export, with a
commandline switch to retain characters in the range
128-254, if desired. (/h)

* Adding a null character to the end of exported messages to
prevent QMail (and maybe other programs) from putting in
random characters between the message text and their origin

5-02-90 * Added the option of installing an "export areas file".
(1.2) If the optional switch /n:areaname is used for each area,
the area name will be added to the export file if any
messages are exported. This file can then be used to tell
your echomail processor which areas to process.

* Added sysop name option. The sysop's name is added in the
installation procedure. IP will now automatically insert
the sysop's name to replace SYSOP as originator/recipient
of a message. (Export only, of course...)

* Added origin line option. The origin line is stored in
each PCBoard message directory in a file called ORIGLINE.IP.
Tear line and origin line will only be added if this file
is present and the message doesn't contain any other tear

* Added locking of PCBoard message base during import.

* Removed a lot of unnecessary junk from the log.

  1. Very nice! Thank you for this wonderful archive. I wonder why I found it only now. Long live the BBS file archives!

  2. This is so awesome! 😀 I’d be cool if you could download an entire archive of this at once, though.

  3. But one thing that puzzles me is the “mtswslnkmcjklsdlsbdmMICROSOFT” string. There is an article about it here. It is definitely worth a read:
