RBBS FMS Files List Entry Updater
by Tom Craver
Version 1.35 - 3/07/93

Intro: Like most RBBS SysOps, I compile an ALLFILES list each night
during the BBS's maintenance cycle. Many callers don't realize
that the list exists unless it appears in the new files listing
though. Since my ALLFILES list creator doesn't have the
ability to add the list to the FMS Directory, I wrote this
utility one evening to do just that.

Disclaimer: This program's only guarantee is to occupy disk space. Tom
Craver shall in no way be held responsible for this program's
failure to perform any other task, consequential or otherwise.
Use at your own risk!

Description: This little utility simply updates an RBBS type FMS file by
removing the previous ALLFILES List entry (if present) and
adding the new ALLFILES List entry with the correct filesize
and current date to the bottom of the FMS file. This program
could be used for ANY file that is updated daily, it doesn't
have to be an ALLFILES List. This program and it's configuration
file(s) MUST be in the same directory as your RBBS FMS File.

Multiple files can be updated in one FMS file or several FMS
files by using a different config file for each task. Simply
pass the config file name when running FMSFLUP to use
different config files. FMSFLUP will default to FMSFLUP.CFG
if no config file is specified when calling FMSFLUP.

Features: Can be used to automagically add a new FMS entry for ANY file
that is updated daily.

Uses the current date & correct filesize.

Automatically determines the FMS file description length to use
based on existing entries in the FMS file.

Can be used with any number of ALLFILES Lists and FMS Files
by using different CFG files.

Handles any size FMS File.

It's FREE, FREE, FREE, FREE!!!!!

Limitation: ONLY works with the standard RBBS reverse date-ordered FMS file
(eg. The newest entries are added to the end of the FMS file).

Installing: Place the FMSFLUP.EXE and FMSFLUP.CFG files in the directory
where your RBBS FMS files are located (typically: C:\RBBS\DIR).
These files MUST be in the same directory as your FMS files for
this program to work.

Edit the FMSFLUP.CFG to match your setup. Detailed instructions
are in FMSFLUP.CFG. Create any additional config files that
you wish to use.

Run this program from your nightly maintenance batch file AFTER
you update your ALLFILES List.

Syntax: FMSFLUP

Where "config file" is the config file name, with extension, to
be used. This is OPTIONAL and will default to FMSFLUP.CFG if
nothing is passed here.

Example: I run this every night after Bob Hampton's excellent DLMaster
ALLFILES List Creator. Thanks Bob!

Kudos: Thanks to Tom Collins for his many excellent programs. A snippet
of code from his ALLFILS program gave me a BIG jump start on this
utility. Thanks Tom!

Epilog: Well, that's it! If you find any bugs, want to complain about
how it works, etc, please feel free to call The Rainbow Zen at
