This series (BASIC Snippets) is an effort to promote good coding
practices and provide learning tools for those who wish to learn BASIC
programming. A lot of old, GWBASIC code is floating around and it is
hoped that code samples such as these can show new (or old GW) programmers
the better coding methods that the later BASIC's promote.

There is a conference on the new BASIC network to discuss these
(and other) bits of code. Talk to your local bbs about becomming a part
of this network that's just for the discussion of BASIC. Contact the
Toolkit BBS at 219-696-3415 and download the net info packet--BASNET.ARJ
