Make TSR resident, then TSRCALC. The hot key is Alt-LeftShift.

I wrote this because I got tired of Sidekick taking up 50k when all I ever
use is the calculator. Also because I wanted the import function.

TSRCALC can import numbers from the background screen. This is handy for
calculations using numbers in your word processor. When NumLock is off,
highlighted (reversed) fields can be entered by hitting the Enter key.

When NumLock is on, the cursor keys (you gotta hold Shift) move the calculator.

Otherwise, it works like a pocket calculator.

TSR allows two programs using the same hot key, so you could have two
calculators resident. You could Esc from one and use Alt_LeftShift to
toggle between them.

  1. Very nice! Thank you for this wonderful archive. I wonder why I found it only now. Long live the BBS file archives!

  2. This is so awesome! 😀 I’d be cool if you could download an entire archive of this at once, though.

  3. But one thing that puzzles me is the “mtswslnkmcjklsdlsbdmMICROSOFT” string. There is an article about it here. It is definitely worth a read:
