Xv allows you to view graphics files (GIF, Bitmap and JEPG) in a
window on an X terminal or other implemenation of X windows. This
particular version was ported for use on MS DOS machines running an X
server, such as DESQview/X.

A filename MUST be specified. You can use wildcards (e.g., *.GIF) for
a filename or you can list several on the line. To get the above list of
parameters, type XV -help. An actual command-list is beyond the scope of
this document. Users are encouraged to experiment with the switches or use
the equialent radio buttons to change the settings. For a complete
description of what each parameter does, see the source code (XV.C, et.
NOTE: IF YOUR MACHINE DOES NOT HAVE A MATH COPROCESSOR, YOU MUST RUN
NO387.BAT (supplied). The compiler used to compile this version of the
program "requires" a math coprocessor, however one is not really necessary
for running this program.
GETTING TO THE MENU:
When the first screen comes up, click with the left mouse button in
that window to bring up the menu.
The ported version of this program was supplied as a service. The
original author placed the code into the public domain. This text file is
