For those of you experiencing problems with the Toshiba 4400SXC
and QEMM, our Testing Department has found that you may use ST:M
with these machines, *provided* that you disable the use of ALL
the popup utilities in the CMOS setup. Given that this is done,
the Suspend/Resume interrupt will be isolated correctly and works
fine.

The machine uses the addresses E800-EFFF for adapter RAM, which is
dedicated to the popup utilities. If these features are disabled,
you should be able to reclaim some of this memory.

Testing is still planning on working with Toshiba and getting one
of these machines in-house on a long-term basis to see if the
pop-up utilities issues can be resolved.

  1. Very nice! Thank you for this wonderful archive. I wonder why I found it only now. Long live the BBS file archives!

  2. This is so awesome! 😀 I’d be cool if you could download an entire archive of this at once, though.

  3. But one thing that puzzles me is the “mtswslnkmcjklsdlsbdmMICROSOFT” string. There is an article about it here. It is definitely worth a read: http://www.os2museum.com/wp/mtswslnk/
