Yes! I want to register my copy of UNGL. I want to use:
___ copies of UNGL concurrently. ($5 each) $______
What this program does:
It takes any GRASP (tm) .GL file and extracts all of the component
pieces. Namely, files with .PIC & .CLP extensions (the pictures
and clippings), .SET (the character set) and .TXT (the text file
that tells how the animation is to be run.
What use is this?
Three main uses, first - if you are just curious about what goes
into a .GL file, this will show you the pieces.
Second, If you want a picture or clipping to use for some other
Third and most important to me (it's why I wrote UNGL) is that I
don't like the way some of these animations are put together. For
instance, some .GL files have fades that take forever to show on
a Monochrome card emulating CGA mode. So I take them apart using
UNGL then I edit the .TXT file to do what I want it to do, delete
all the .PIC & .CLP files I don't want, then I use GLIB (tm) [part
of the GRASP (tm) package] to put it back together. It is then
much smaller and it does exactly what I want it to do!
UNGL is easy to use, first create a work directory and from there
Do not enter the extension (.GL), but do give the entire path where
the .GL file exists. Sorry, wildcards are not supported.
Thats all there is to it!
If you want to put it back together again (either to see that UNGL
works or after modifications), use GLIB (tm) to create or add to
your new file like this:
GRASP and GLIB are copyrighted programs of Microtex Industries, Inc.
So, if you find this program useful, please support the shareware
concept by registering your copy with me. It's only $5.00 and it
would encourage me to write other useful software.
